The Mission Systems Resilient Navigation Solutions (RNS) team has an exciting opportunity to support the financial responsibilities of two significant MGUE Increment 1 programs. The Increment 1 portfolio is responsible for the development of modern military GPS technology critical to the mission success of the US Space Force. This position will provide exposure to EACs, FP&A, Earned Value and Proposals with opportunities to present to leadership across the RNS organization. Contract types are Fixed Price with varying customers and financials, which offers exposure to various types of Collins programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs) which will require you to partner with other functional leads and perform analysis providing informed business decisions.
  • Report earned value and ensure that program execution stays on schedule and within budget.
  • Assist the program managers and help drive completion of the Earned Value deliverables each month.  
  • Prepare various analyses to ensure accurate reporting and early warning of issues. 
  • You can expect to continue developing experience using various Finance tools such as APEX, PMX, PRISM, and EDIT+. Analyses include risks and opportunities, and variances to plan and forecast, as well as supporting regular cadence reviews including the weekly Program Performance Reviews (PPR), bi-weekly Short-Range Outlook (SRO) for financial forecasts, and various levels of internal leadership meetings.
  • You will also be encouraged to partake in projects (including CORE) that have an impact at the business level. 
  • Interface and conduct business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Engineering, etc.)

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Minimum 5 years of related finance experience (understanding of bookings, sales, profits, and cash flow and
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Analysis: SPI/CPI/TCPI/IEAC/VAC)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Excellent computer skills including a high level of proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proactive, creative and innovative in solving problems and improving processes
  • Great organizational and communication skills in leading/coordinating program personnel toward common finance goals by setting priorities and working within deadlines
  • Experience with SAP Enterprise Planning and PMX
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline
