Senior Engineer, QA Engineering - Hybrid

What you’ll need to succeed as a Senior Engineer, QA Engineering at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience 

• 2 years of experience in quality assurance engineering, developing software testing code and algorithms using Python and Java
• Demonstrated ability analyzing technical and non-technical problems by developing research questions, implementing appropriate analytical methods, and presenting results
• Strong analytical/reasoning skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy 
• Interest/openness to learn/explore about Less-Than-Truckload business and usage of advanced analytics methods/tools to support complex strategic/tactical/operational business decisions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance engineering, developing software testing code and algorithms using Python and Java, providing quality support, continuous improvement of logistics solutions in all phases of warehousing and distribution
• Practical experience with scripting/programming languages such as SQL/Python (proficiency with Pandas package) /Java on development platforms like VSCode/PyCharm/IntelliJ; code management services such as Git; Agile Software Development practices such as Jira/Confluence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for the intended audience
• Solid organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to be open-minded and receptive to feedback in an intellectually-rigorous environment 
• Energetic work style with a strong drive to succeed
• Self-motivated instincts with the ability to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment and consult with team members/management as needed
• Some automation/testing architecture knowledge/experience
