2026 Undergraduate Summer Intern – Job Posting

Internship Position Title: Undergrad Intern – Wealth Management Internal Sales

Location: St. Petersburg, FL or Boston, MA

Start Date: All interns must start in office and in person on June 8, 2026.

Anticipated End Date: August 14, 2026 – All interns must be in office and in person on their last day to return equipment.

Position Summary: 

Department Overview

The Wealth Management Internal Sales Team is dedicated to delivering world-class consultative sales and relationship management support to financial advisors.

Internal Sales is dedicated to delivering premier value-add content and services in a consultative way to our advisors in the areas of investment, practice and wealth management.

The Summer Internal Sales Intern position is an excellent internship opportunity that offers an exciting and rewarding internship experience in financial services. The intern will participate in a training program that focuses on industry, product and Franklin Templeton’s Client Engagement methodology.

Team Culture:

This is a unique opportunity for the next generation of professionals to get training and real-world experience working with a global asset manager. As a Sales Intern you will learn about our culture and portfolio of products. You will participate in fundamental training on multiple aspects of our firm and develop your own strategies to help us improve in the future. Throughout the internship, you will receive real-time performance feedback and mentoring, build business acumen, and build a network of business relationships. Additionally, the program features meetings and events with executive leaders for exposure and growth.

By the end of the internship, an Intern can expect to learn:

  • Work on increasingly challenging and engaging real-world projects
  • Gain hands-on experience in a global asset management company
  • Collaborate with experienced sales professionals
  • Work closely with mentors who have years of experience in the business world
  • Attend meetings, events, and other networking opportunities

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Learning about the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
  • Providing feedback and ideas to grow and improve our outreach to the next generation of thought leaders.
  • Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving internal processes.
  • Further education with the SIE (Securities Industries Essentials) exam

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated with a proactive work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to receive and constructively act on critical feedback
  • Strong ability to be coachable, with a particular aptitude for time management
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects for different teams at once while adhering to deadlines

Compensation Range: This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 37.5 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $24-$28 USD per hour. Hourly pay rates are dependent upon location and function. There
