Associate Director, CMC Digital Operations and Strategic Portfolio Management

The Role:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Operations and Strategic Portfolio Management, the Associate Director, CMC Digital Operations and Strategic Portfolio will be a pivotal force in supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives and aligning operations within Moderna’s CMC Digital organization. This role demands a strong leader focused on operational excellence, strategic planning, and management of cross-functional programs critical to our CMC organization.

Here's What You’ll Do:

• Assist in leading the operational delivery of Moderna’s Digital Agenda under the Director’s guidance.

• Support the management of a strategic portfolio focusing on digital operations and strategic initiatives across the CMC Digital organization.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive and support project management and operational changes within the digital domain.

• Contribute to the data-driven strategy development and implementation, aligning digital efforts with business priorities and organizational goals.

• Facilitate communication and best practices sharing among functional portfolio leaders, fostering a collaborative environment.

• Help manage the financial aspects of digital projects, ensuring budget adherence and value realization.

• Support the establishment of operational data platforms and data-driven KPIs to monitor and enhance digital operation performance.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 7+ years in digital operations or IT management, with a proven track record in digital strategy execution and portfolio management, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.

• Expertise in project management tools and methodologies, including Agile practices.

• Strong financial management skills with experience in budgeting and cost control.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of leading diverse teams and working effectively across organizational boundaries.

• Knowledge: Deep understanding of the digital transformation challenges and opportunities within the pharmaceutical sector, particularly in CMC.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (MA/MS/MBA) in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.

• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities.

• Proven ability to support change management within a dynamic environment.
