As the Chief of Staff to the President and GM of Life Sciences, Ecosystem and Public Sector you’ll be a partner to the GM and a member of the division’s management team, serving effectively in five roles:

  • As an air traffic controller for the GM and senior team;
  • As an integrator connecting workstreams that would otherwise be siloed;
  • As a communicator linking the GM and senior team with the broader team and Board of Directors;
  • As an honest broker with good judgment and discretion to provide the GM with a wide-ranging view

You’ll partner with the GM to ensure the division is happy, healthy, productive, and accelerating to reach our goals. 

In this role you will:

  • Craft presentations for the Board of Directors and Datavant Executive Team, synthesizing the division’s performance and strategy into a clear narrative
  • Develop and lead specific strategic initiatives across the org, which could span a range as broad as:
    • New pricing models
    • M&A strategy and diligence
    • Market segmentation
    • Cross-functional process improvement or org design
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) to assess customer health, identify opportunities, and align strategies with key stakeholders
  • Improve the day-to-day operations of the leadership team, including hosting weekly management meetings and maintaining an internal tracker
  • Amplify the voice of the GM through town halls and other initiatives to increase alignment across the team in a remote work environment
  • Effectively triage escalations and accelerate the velocity of information flows across the division
  • Be a critical leader of the LSEPS org and by extension, the business

What You Bring to the Table:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in tech startups, consulting or investment banking, including multiple years in leadership
  • Excellent analytical skills including advanced modeling 
  • Polished communicator who can distill complex strategy into a crisp narrative
  • You are expert at strategy and pulling the thread for cross functional stakeholders to execute on groundbreaking initiatives 
  • You have high agency and are comfortable with ambiguity — if you don’t have the answer, you’re excited to figure it out 
  • You believe in creating sustainable process and “leaving things better than you found them”
  • You are detail oriented and hold yourself and others to a high standard
  • You are a team building and enjoy planning and organizing fun team activities
  • You can both “lead” and “do”
  • You are ambitious, scrappy, tenacious, and you get things done with a “no job too small” mentality
  • You are comfortable making hard decisions and move quickly
  • You are noted as one of the best problem solvers in your organization
