WAITPERSON - Hells Kitchen

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides prompt,courteous food service to Harrah’s and Harveys guests in accordance withestablished procedures

 

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Servescustomers at assigned station quickly, courteously and efficiently to ensuredepartment guarantee is satisfied.

Assistscustomers in ordering from the menu and records ordered items on checkaccording to established procedures.

Obtainsfood and beverage from prescribed locations and serves customers according toestablished procedures.

Observesguests to fulfill and additional requests and to note when meal is finished.

Processeschecks through the POS system and presents check to guest for payment onconclusion of dining experience.

Assists,as necessary, in cleaning and re-setting tables, escorting guests from waitingarea to table in his/her assigned section.

Assistsbus persons in a cooperative manner to ensure efficient service to guests.

Completesassigned side work as directed.

Familiarizesself with all items on both printed and daily menus.

Usesgood salesmanship for suggestive selling of menu items, beverages, desserts,etc.

Processesall open checks and ensures they are properly tendered and/or accounted for atend of shift.

Familiarizesself and adheres to the principles of guest service skills, and uses them inall interactions.

• Delivers alcoholic beverages promptly from assignedbar to table
   

 

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

HighSchool graduate or equivalent preferred

2years Waitperson experience preferred

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Literateand fluent in English

Aboveaverage communication and guest service skills

Mustbe at least 21 years of age

Abilityto uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations andrecognize standards required by a regulated business

Actsas a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a creditto Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.  Adheres to all regulatory, company anddepartment policies and procedures

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTALDEMANDS:

Abilityto lift and carry large, heavy banquet trays and beverage trays weighing up to30 lbs.

Abilityto grasp, hold, reach, bend, push-pull, use a step stool, have hand-eyecoordination

Abilityto constantly walk and stand during shift

Mobilityto move quickly and easily throughout the restaurant and kitchen areas

Abilityto hear and use visual inspection

 

Positionsthat have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy 
environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.  Also, non-public contact positions may berequired to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with theirduties, and may be subject to the same environment.
