Then you sound like a Worldpayer.</p><p></p><p><b><u>About the team</u></b></p><p>Worldpay is an international leader, the biggest in the world, in payments processing technology servicing all types of businesses. You will be working on our worldwide payment gateway (WPG): one of the largest-by-volume global payment platforms in the <span><span>world, </span></span>focusing intensively on robustness, security, and capacity that can process over 800 transactions every second and exceeding 10 million successful payments every day. </p><p></p><p>With a large international 24/7 customer base, this role requires developers with high levels of diligence and an eye for detail. Our engineers conscientiously code, thoroughly test and reliably deliver the requirements of our always-on business. We operate within a collaborative Agile environment and aim to deliver effective solutions to the business and our customers using our evolving payment platform.</p><p></p><p><b><u>What you'll own </u></b></p><p>You will join one of our cross-functional teams containing developers, testers, product owners and a scrum master.  As the specialist engineer in the team, you will have a leading voice in all SDLC activities. You will draw on your extensive experience and technical knowledge to take the challenging analysis, design and coding problems. You’ll enjoy mentoring other engineers in the team, champion best practices, and pair with people to solve problems when required.  You will work with fellow senior engineers from other teams in our Communities of Practice, to improve how we produce and deliver software.</p><ul><li><p>Write code to solve problems in Java and (PL)SQL on an ecommerce payments gateway operated by Worldpay/FIS.</p></li><li><p>Work with product managers, system architects, and internal business teams to define system requirements. </p></li><li><p>Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and <span><span><span><span><span>requirements.  </span></span></span></span></span></p></li><li><p>Work with the product owner and scrum master to lead the team in work breakdown and estimation.</p></li><li><p>Develop new features following the documented SDLC</p></li><li><p>Design a rollout and monitoring approach for features to ensure it works as expected</p></li><li><p>Ensure that the support and operations engineers have the knowledge and tools needed to deliver the service to our customers</p></li><li><p>Periodic availability outside normal office hours for support of release deployment.  Currently we release every few weeks and have a rota.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Where you’ll own it - Bucharest, Romania </u></b></p><p>Our sites are hubs of activity, conversation, and openness.
