Job Description:

TITLE: Distribution Lead

Position Summary:

Maintains and coordinates ship confirmation, packing and order-picking activities in the Distribution Center.

Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Personal computer skills – SAP, Microsoft Office
• Knowledge and experience with RF guns required
• Heavy order fulfillment experience required
• Forklift experience preferred but not required
• Excellent communication skills
• Prior experience in a leadership role, with the ability to delegate tasks effectively
• Ability to give directions to other associates on work tasks
• Ability to train and mentor staff
• Capable of working required overtime
• Ability to apply and use required forces (i.e.: 60 lbs. of material lifting)
• Strong attendance, attitude, and productivity record

Responsibilities:

• Load LTL trucks efficiently
• Processing of documents and ship confirmations (i.e.: packing slips, bills of lading)
• Operate multiple (reach truck, order picker, electric pallet jack, dock stocker)
• Pulling and packing of customer orders
• Banding pallets
• Processing bill of lading
• Consolidation of PID’s
• Picking and shipping HAZMAT
• Troubleshoot HAZMAT issues
• Delegate tasks
• Coordinate workflow for department
• Create and report metrics/KPI’s
• Train new associates
• Promote safety objectives
• Conduct team meetings, communicating daily goals to associates
• Utilize product knowledge to ensure accurate order fulfillment and escalate issues as needed
• Work efficiently to attain goals
• Follow regulatory agencies (FDA, UL or ISO) standards or policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Language Capabilities

• Fluent in English (read, write, speak)

Education Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent

Technical Requirements

• Capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Personal computer skills – SAP, Microsoft Office
• Must be willing to operate forklift equipment, working at heights of 30 feet
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership capability
• Ability to give directions to other associates on work tasks
• Ability to train and mentor staff
• Capable of working required overtime
• Ability to apply and use required forces (i.e.: 60 lbs. of material lifting) repetitively
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs of product on a regular basis, as required by the position
• Excellent work record (i.e.: Attendance, Attitude and Productivity)
