Job Description

The Consulting Business Line at Sopra Steria is a team of over 160 consultants in Belgium with extensive expertise in Digital Transformation. Recognized as a preferred digital partner, we collaborate with leading Belgian organizations across the Public Sector, Financial Services, and Industry. Our consulting services span IT Advisory, Architecture, Organizational Transformation & Change, Operational Excellence, Sustainability & Ethics and Innovation as a Service.  

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our IT Advisory practice. This role focuses on helping clients transform, modernise, and optimise their IT functions to meet current and future strategic business challenges. The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in driving value for clients through IT strategy, lean IT operating models, IT performance optimisation, and operational excellence. In your experience, you have been able to work on transformative assignments such as:

• Developing IT Strategies to support business

• Lead initiatives to align IT strategy with business objectives, driving digital transformation.
• Develop and implement cloud strategies, IT-business relationship models, and service-oriented sourcing frameworks. 
• Quantify and present ROI for IT modernisation initiatives on a company-wide scale. 

• Establishing IT Operating Model

• Guide the transformation to product-based IT organizations, ensuring seamless delivery chain excellence.
• Redefine and implement IT operating models to enhance agility and align IT services with business needs.

• Improving IT Performance

• Assess and optimize project portfolios, focusing on value-driven features.
• Implement lean portfolio management practices to ensure optimal resource allocation.
• Oversee IT budget and cost structure models, driving efficiency and financial performance. 

• Optimising the Operation and the Run whilst supporting cloud initiatives

• Drive QoS transformation and audit production operations for efficiency and quality improvement.
• Develop and execute enhanced cloud transition strategies (GoToCloud), incorporating FinOps and governance principles.

You’ll have knowledge and experience of the following:

• Experience: minimum 12 years of professional experience in IT consulting with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role. 
• IT Advisory: proven expertise in IT strategy development, digital transformation, and IT operating models. Strong understanding of cloud strategy, IT performance metrics, and financial optimisation techniques.
• Industry Knowledge: a solid understanding of business processes in one or more of the following sectors is an asset: Public Sector (Federal or Flemish Government), Financial Services (Banking and/or Insurance), or Industry.
• Certifications: recognized certifications such as Prince2, TOGAF/Archimate, Leading SAFe are advantageous.
• Consulting Mindset: strong ability to build and maintain trustworthy client relationships, familiarity with business development approaches, and a strong connection to the Consulting "motherhouse."
• Languages: fluency in English is required, along with proficiency in either French or Dutch.
