The Diabetes Education Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, and collecting/reporting activity data for all of the Diabetes Education Program (DEP) activities. Works collaboratively with leadership to plan, develop and implement programs. Assists in establishing short and long-term goals and strategic planning. This position will be primarily located at the main Texas A&M Health – Rio Grande Valley office in McAllen, TX.

This position may require work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends

Responsibilities
Coordination
Planning, coordinating, documenting, and evaluating all the Diabetes Education Program (DEP) activities throughout the service area of the Rio Grande Valley (Starr, Hidalgo, Cameron and Willacy Counties). Maintain a close working relationship with the Director and keep well informed of all program activities, changes, issues, data collection/analysis, and/or concerns.
Assist in the development of special reports and/or information requested by the Director.
Travels to various locations within the service area of the Rio Grande Valley (Starr, Hidalgo, Cameron and Willacy Counties) for program activities.
Occasional travel to Corpus Christi and/or College Station, TX for training, meetings, etc.
Point and lead person for data collection and analysis for all DEP activities.
