A PC&CSO Spare Parts/Vendor Coordinator is responsible for managing spare parts inventory and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely procurement and quality control. Here are some key aspects of the role:

Cross-Referencing Parts: The coordinator cross-references parts between manufacturers and suppliers. This ensures that specified vendors are utilized as part of the maintenance system’s cost and quality control strategy. Cycle Counting: Routine cycle counting of parts inventory is performed. This helps maintain accurate stock levels and prevents shortages or excesses. Standardization: Collaborating with other parts coordinators and maintenance system personnel, the coordinator works to standardize business processes related to spare parts across all plants. Data Management: Maintaining the spare parts system database (often in SAP), the coordinator ensures that maintenance personnel can easily search for parts by manufacturer and part number. Accounting Guidelines: The coordinator follows corporate accounting guidelines when managing spare parts inventory. Contacting Vendor: Monitoring schedule and contacting vendors for tech support site requirements.
