ZGT is hub for innovation, expertise development and services delivery, supporting Guidewire platform and related tech-stack globally within Zurich. With the mandate to service Zurich’s business units which use Guidewire products, this team brings together talented professionals focused on developing &amp; delivering digital capabilities, core platform solutions, integrate AI, build reusable assets &amp; components – both on-prem and Guidewire cloud versions. We operate from multiple technology delivery centres spread globally to service our business units.</span></p> <p><span>This position is based in Barcelona Technology Delivery Center (TDC). Established in Barcelona in 2006, the TDC operates as an integral part of Zurich Insurance Group, providing cutting-edge technological solutions and support to Zurich's local and global business units.</span></p> <p><span>If you have experience with Guidewire technologies, a drive for continuous learning, and want to be part of a global company that values diversity, growth and customer focus, we’d love to hear from you.</span></p> <p>  </p> <p><strong><span>What Can You Expect?</span></strong></p> <p><span>As a <strong>Senior Guidewire Developer</strong>, you will:</span></p> <ul type="disc"> <li><span>Lead the design, development, and implementation of Guidewire products - InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter), Digital platforms (Engage and Jutro) and related integrations.</span></li> <li><span>Analyse and propose solutions leveraging out-of-the-box (OOTB) Guidewire modules. Recommended customizations where required</span></li> <li><span>Translate business requirements into technical specifications and innovative solutions</span></li> <li><span>Partnering with Business Systems Analysts &amp; Product Owners, compare solutions, provide inputs for cost/benefit analysis, risk assessments, and scope definitions for proposed enhancements and work products.</span></li> <li><span>Develop integration interfaces using Guidewire APIs, web services, and third-party tools</span></li> <li><span>Support end-to-end development lifecycle; story grooming, sprint testing, coordinating with other development teams, Quality Assurance and Release Management teams.</span></li> <li><span>Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership to project teams</span></li> <li><span>Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment for robust, scalable applications. Adhere to Guidewire cloud standards and Zurich architectural guidelines.</span></li> <li><span>Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing Guidewire solutions</span></li> <li><span>Collaborate with architects to ensure architectural alignment &amp; fitment of the solutions while meeting business objectives and compliance standards</span></li> <li><span>Evaluate project impacts to various departments of the business units through consultations with various teams. </span></li> <li><span>Participate in Agile ceremonies such as inception workshops, sprint planning, developing conceptual sprint plans, demos and retrospective meetings. </span></li> <li><span>Promote building reusable assets and components which can be leveraged by other business units.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>Qualifications</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>Required:</span></strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li><span>Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 5 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span>OR</span></strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li><span>High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area.</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span> AND</span></strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li><span>5+ years of experience with Guidewire platforms (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) / ACE Certification</span></li> <li><span>Strong Experience in Guidewire xCentres both on-premises and GWCP</span></li> <li><span>Strong expertise in Guidewire Gosu programming, configuration, and integration</span></li> <li><span>Experience with Java, web services (SOAP/REST), and database technologies</span></li> <li><span>Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-dr
