Ice Cream Line Operator Reports to: Plant Manager

Position Description:

An Ice Cream Line Operator will be manufacturing ready-to-eat ice cream and other frozen dessert products. A successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, follow processes, troubleshoot, handle food products and packaging safely, and master the operations of several machines.

Ice Cream Line Operator Salary: Starting at $20/hour

Shift: Monday-Friday 4am-12pm

Ice Cream Line Operator Job Functions:

• Adhere to our Good Manufacturing Practices
• Learn to operate our mix tanks, ice cream freezer, inclusion feeder, filler, metal detector, inversion machine, shrink-wrapping machine, and container fabricating machine
• Learn, execute, and participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures for the Ice Cream Line
• Comply with our Sanitation Procedures, Food Safety Programs, and Quality Evaluation Programs
• Compliance with documentation requires legible handwriting
• Always maintain a clean and safe working environment

Education and Experience:

• Reading, writing, and speaking English is required
• High school education or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Five or more years of food manufacturing experience preferred
• Forklift experience is preferred

Computer Skills:

• Experience with using a computer required
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products preferred

Physical Demands:

• Standing, stooping, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling
• Must be able to climb and work from a ladder and/or elevated lifts
• Must be able to lift and carry weights of 50-100 pounds
