Your role in our team

Your role is to achieve sales targets by evaluating customer requirements, creating competitive and attractive layout designs for automated solutions, and being part of prospect, customer, and internal engineering meetings. Your solutions will include Körber products such as Layer Picker, stacker cranes, and pallet conveyors, as well as third-party supplied machinery like package conveyors, stretch wrappers, picking systems, and more. On top of that, Körber’s offering will include AMRs, AGVs, shuttle, and case-handling solutions.

We would expect our new Key Account Director to be able to design layouts in partnership with the solution design team, following the standards & guidelines set by our global solution teams. For larger or more complex projects, these teams will support you when needed. Our clear ambition is to grow our presence in the US, which will give you a unique opportunity to grow with us.

 

In addition, 

• You will manage and foster the growth of our business within our top 100 global accounts
• You will work with our primary segments manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, and logistics automation
• You will create layouts based on customer requirements, using the Körber product portfolio, solution standards, and where required 3rd party equipment from partners or suppliers
• You will build a funnel of sales opportunities that are sufficient to support annual targets
• You will collect input from other departments or suppliers to correctly configure and price equipment or services. You will provide the specifications for them to do this
• You will cooperate with sales and solution design to build the total costs of the solution
• You will lead sales managers and sales engineers at customer meetings
• You will prepare layout walkthrough presentations
• You will participate in the proper hand-over of sold projects to the execution team(s)

 

Your profile

• You have successfully graduated with a bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance, Engineering, or similar).
• You have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in the material handling industry is required.
• You have good mechanical engineering skills.
• You have a working knowledge of CAD systems, preferably AutoCAD
• You have the ability to communicate with various stakeholders, from engineers to department heads, sales managers, and customers.
• You take responsibility for your own work and creativity to drive opportunities to a decision.
