- Prepares simple to complex journal entries to record various financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.
- Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate and analyze financial reports to support management decision-making.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide support for variance analysis and financial planning activities.
- Prepare documentation and schedules for external audits.
- Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance and address any audit findings.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Attend meetings as assigned and actively participate in committees as assigned.
- Adherence to all agency policies, licensure, and training requirements.
- To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a healthcare or non-profit setting.
