Perficient has a career opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Product Development Consulting business unit and help us lead organizations in assessing and implementing product operating model transformations and strategic initiatives. This Senior Project Manager role will be a strategic role within the Perficient organization working on best practices and execution of the Product Operating Model (POM). They will work with their clients defining their strategic initiatives, product roadmaps and/or transformation models.  

The Senior Project Manager role will focus on leading client interactions with stakeholders and leaders, understanding where the organization is today in their journey and putting together a plan for transformation and optimization.  This role will be a product and people leader, mentor, coach and strategic thinker.

  • Engage with stakeholders, clients, and product teams to document current state and/or understand opportunities for transformation
  • Lead in defining assessments or recommendations to get from current state to the next state, as needed
  • Interview and document current state and future state needs
  • Compile and maintain best practice documentation (Center of Excellence) that can be utilized in engagements
  • Lead the vision for transformation opportunity and change management 
  • Assess risks and benefits of product enhancements and gain alignment with stakeholders, clients, and product managers
  • Analyze product metrics and define continuous improvement initiatives to increase the Product’s business value
  • Introduce new approaches and tool sets that will allow the product development team to better understand the solution criteria and requirements
  • Foster an environment that adapts quickly to creative change and focuses on Agile development principles.
  • Partner with product development team members to understand opportunities and limitations of solutions being implemented.
  • Work closely with the director and account leads to remain in full communication on the status and details of each project, including any cost or timing issues that may arise.
  • Anticipate any potential issues with the project through quick responses and proactive critical thinking.
  • Demonstrate skilled problem-solving capabilities to determine solutions and options to resolve problems.
  • Establish common goals across multiple teams, and define useful metrics and reporting to track team performance.
  • Manage milestones across multiple teams.

 

  • 15+ years of working experience in a product environment, leading teams
  • 3+ years of experience leading product team transformations, product team coaching
  • 5+ years of consulting industry experience, with strong relationship management, and account management experience
  • Highly proficient in collaborating with project stakeholders, end-users, business partners, and technical team members to deliver high quality products
  • Experience working directly with creative team members and development engineers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Concrete understanding of Agile principles and Product Operating Model
  • Experience with scaled agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum @ Scale) 
  • Ability to define high-level business objectives and drive product roadmaps
  • Comfort engaging with executive stakeholders in dialogue regarding product vision and business enablement
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with identifying and reporting on key performance indicators to help visualize efficacy of product enhancements
  • Expertise in product backlog tools such as Rally, Jira or DevOps

  • Able to go into the office 3 days/week in metro Atlanta
