Job Description Summary:

This position manages and oversees the revenue cycle. Requires an ability to plan, develop and execute strategies to improve critical revenue cycle metrics while maintaining the integrity of revenue data in order to minimize adjustments and inappropriate bad-debt write offs.

Responsibilities And Duties:

1. Drive improvements to the operating processes of the revenue cycle resulting in improvement to critical revenue cycle metrics.
2. Manage the Epic relationship, costs and operational process with a focus on improving utilization of Epic's management reporting capabilities; and on a seamless transition of selected Epic functionality.
3. Improve the scope and reliability of revenue cycle management information and proactively intervene and resolve problems within the CBO and at practice sites.
4. Create and establish an effective communication and problem resolution pathway for physician and non-physician personnel at practice sites.
5. Adherence to all intra and extra-organizational compliance and HIPPA regulations.
6. Enhance staff and coder education and development.
7. Increase organizational esprit d corps within revenue cycle staff and management, while improving the overall capabilities of the management team.

Additional Job Description:

An undergraduate degree OR 10 years equivalent revenue cycle Experience is required. A focus in finance or accounting as well as a professional designation reflecting a strong financial orientation is highly preferred. Thorough knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management and supporting application. Prior Experience with the Epic billing platform is highly desirable. Seven to ten years of healthcare experience of which five should be in revenue cycle management or a related area.
