About the role

We are looking for a customer-centric, cross-functional product manager with experience building back-end systems that enable personalization.  These systems will enable us to retain existing Zillow customers within our ecosystem, and encourage customers to utilize Zillow Home Loans when they’re ready.  Understanding how to design product experiences in concert with additional internal product teams and marketing is a must.  We are looking for product managers who have a consistent track record of taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing business environment, while leveraging a hypothesis driven processes to test, learn and iterate. They should be able to motivate cross functional partners with clarity on the “why” that informs the “what” and keeps the “how” focused.  They will need to be determined to launch features, but also build processes that help us scale along the way.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $143,200.00 - $228,800.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

This role will also be responsible for helping to define our front-end strategy to help us engage with and retain customers on Zillow through the often arduous homebuying process; from helping the customer understand how to get pre-approved, and ultimately to the point at which they make an offer on their next home.  Our new Senior Product Manager should be especially comfortable working with engineering and marketing, and working across product teams to define requirements and influence roadmaps as required.  In short, they should be able to:

• Understand how to prioritize customer needs that drive business value

• Build mechanisms to gain and ingest customer feedback

• Influence high-level product planning and strategic vision

• Prioritize competing opportunities by understanding business and customer impact

• Collaborate, coordinate and drive alignment with senior leaders and key partners across Legal/Compliance, Mortgage business, Design/UX, Engineering, Marketing, Data/Analytics, etc.

• Drive implementation/execution of complex product enhancements

• Work with highly capable designers and software developers to ship products in an agile, fast-paced environment

• Quickly learn and apply Mortgage and/or Real Estate knowledge
