About the role
SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Supervisor is a key member of the HR Team, serving as a true business partner to the Human Resource Manager. Serving as a hands-on leader, this role is responsible for supervising the recruiting function while ensuring we successfully place the right people in the right positions to support our business. Overall responsibility for cradle to grave recruiting & reporting activities.

- Supports the achievement of our manpower plan by ensuring the best quality candidates are hired for positions; implements appropriate recruiting, screening and selection methods; ensures appropriate onboarding of new hires.
- Manage a team who partners with Managers & Supervisors to develop and execute a recruiting strategy for positions at all levels in the organization, including:
- Personnel requisition tracking
- Writing robust job descriptions which accurately reflect responsibilities
- Post and track all internal/external job openings
- Proactively develop advertising strategies, including traditional & untraditional approaches, to attract qualified candidates in an expedient manner
- Conduct phone & on-site interviews; coordinate on sight interview process with extended interviewing team
- Facilitating post interview discussion with hiring team
- Drafting & issuing offer letters
- Administering background checks & tracking the successful completion of physicals & drug screens
- Applicant tracking
- Own Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking & drive continuous improvement – days to fill, candidate sources, etc.
- Ensure all aspects of hiring process is documented & retained
- Own our job fair process & drive successful execution of these events
- Develop partnerships with local Chamber, high schools, trade schools & universities to promote education & awareness about MAHLE & potential career opportunities; utilize this platform to create a talent pipeline
- Work with managers to ensure a training plan is devised & properly documented for all new hires
- Assist with new hire announcement & ensure mentor is designated
- Schedule new hire orientation; facilitate assigned topics
- Manage headcount reporting
- Manage termination process, including exit interviews
- Ensure MAHLE’s reputation is not compromised
- Ensure compliance with all related TISAX, IATF and ISO-14001 policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - This position will lead a team of 2 Recruiters.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or related field is required
- Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience is needed, including 2 years in a supervisory capacity; previous experience recruiting technical positions (e.g. engineering) is strongly preferred; automotive experience is a nice to have
- Must have excellent planning, organizational and facilitation skills in addition to strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & successfully meet deliverables is a must
- Strong computer knowledge, including intermediate to advanced level Excel skills, & social networking is required
- Previous experience tracking & improving recruiting metrics is expected
- Must have strong initiative and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptation to changing environments
- Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team is required
- Demonstrated past record of sound decision making is required
- Must have broad, basic understanding of Federal and State employment laws
