What You’ll Do

 

Title: SAP SA&E iXp Intern - Project Manager

In-Person: Hybrid 

Location: Palo Alto, CA 

Schedule: 40 HR/Week 

Start Date: May 12, 2025 

 

We are seeking a motivated Project Management Intern to help SAP SGSC achieve its next phase of excellence. As part of the Security Awareness & Enablement (SA&E) team, you’ll contribute to improving SAP’s security compliance by addressing human risk through awareness, enablement, and compliance initiatives.

 

As an intern, you will play a key part in the Risk Identification and Management workstream, documenting risks and collaborating with key stakeholders to manage risks throughout their lifecycle.

 

This internship offers a unique opportunity to support SAP’s strategic goals while building valuable skills and experience in security awareness, audit, compliance, and risk management.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Compliance Monitoring & Risk Management

• Monitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for the compliance workstream.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize risks for the local Risk Register.

• Engage with cross-functional teams to track audit findings and customer escalations.

• Report on project health, identify potential risks, and help mitigate impediments to ensure deliverables stay on track.

• Provide project management support for ad-hoc tasks and projects.

 

Learning & Development Opportunities

• Gain hands-on experience in risk identification, risk management, and industry frameworks like NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO, SOC 1, and SOC 2.

• Develop a strong understanding of auditing processes.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an academic program (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD) 

• A can-do attitude with a strong focus on detail, positivity, and self-motivation.

• Proficiency in MS Office and JIRA for project management and reporting.

• Experience in project management, including tracking progress, meeting milestones, and providing updates to stakeholders.

• Strong collaboration skills with a team-oriented and self-driven working style.

• Excellent communication skills to work effectively across diverse teams, cultures, and time zones.

• Flexibility to collaborate with global teams and adjust to varying time zones as needed.
