Coordinator Systems - Operating Room Systems Integration

Serves as department-specific systems analyst and liaison to IT for all department software applications. Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, maintains, implements, and integrates existing and new software, systems, and strategies. Works with, and clearly communicates technical concepts to, technical and non-technical groups within the Mayo system. Maintains consistent policies and procedures. May collect statistics. Serves as a resource for all computer related problems and/or issues. May train staff in the operation and use of software and other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required.
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a similar operational area such as scheduling, medical records, desk system, and/or transcription preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the following areas: Healthcare software packages, systems analysis and design, database design and utilization, project management, software development, software testing, web technologies, and systems documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
License/Certifications:
- Certification through AHIMA as RRA/ART preferred for Medical Records.
