National Equipment Dealers, LLC (NED). is a large heavy equipment dealership headquartered in Lexington, NC with over 30 years of operations in equipment sales, rentals, and parts & service. NED operates 20+ locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Texas. NED employees 400 salespeople, service technicians and corporate staff. NED represents Hyundai Construction Equipment, BELL Trucks, Yanmar, Sakai, Manitou and many other brands.
Position Summary
We are hiring an Operations Lead – Service to drive the strategic growth and operational transformation of NED’s service business. Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Operations, this role functions in a chief of staff capacity to the EVP of Service, with a focus on optimizing processes, enhancing customer experience, and aligning cross-functional initiatives to deliver service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Execution: Lead and manage strategic service projects from planning through execution, coordinating with cross-functional teams to set project milestones, meet timelines, and achieve objectives.
• Continuous Improvement: Assess current processes and propose optimizations to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and employee engagement.
• Leadership Support: Act as a trusted advisor to the EVP of Service, partnering with senior leaders across service team, to facilitate efficient decision-making, manage key projects, and serve as a bridge across departments to ensure alignment on company-wide goals.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate key communications for the EVP of Service, representing his interests in cross-departmental discussions and external engagements as needed.
• Reporting and Analytics: Working with stakeholders, develop and maintain reporting frameworks to measure project performance, strategic initiative progress, and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with company and service goals.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in management or customer experience consulting at a top-tier firm (e.g., Bain, BCG, McKinsey) or relevant corporate experience.
• Proven expertise in process improvement and project management.
• Deep understanding of service operations, including customer experience, upselling, and parts/service strategies.
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC.
• Willingness to travel to NED locations in TX, NC, SC, GA, and FL.
