The Role

This Sr. Technical Project Manager will be primarily focused on leading our Network Inventory Transformation program, working with multiple vendors and numerous Lumen organizations to develop integrated program plans that take into account multiple project deliverables, and proactively identifies critical impediments to meeting project objectives. The position will be focused on supporting all phases of the program, consolidating all legacy network inventory systems.

This is a Work from Home position within the U.S.

The Main Responsibilities

-Understand, evaluate and balance Lumen’s ability to deliver new products, services and technologies in the strategic Network Inventory platform within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
-Support development of network inventory models, migrations, new features, testing, and training.
Effectively communicate program status, risks and issues to Leadership, and present options and recommendations for resolution.
-Manage one or more complex programs that encompass multiple projects with separate yet interdependent deliverables, timelines and objectives.
-Manage large scale, integrated program plans, and provide status and issues to executives and upper management.
-Validate Planning scope and set accurate project milestones
-Work with all project stakeholders to drive towards timely milestone completion
-Provide timely updates on projects
-Responsible for monthly project forecasting to align with company revenue targets
-Single point of contact for all project updates and responsible for timely issue resolution and project completions
-Responsible for training new peers; take a leadership role to develop and mentor other Project Managers to improve PM acumen
-Identify and document any new process improvements
-Provide program management of major initiatives and prepare executive level presentations or written reports
-Serve as a subject matter expert and team resource in one or more areas to the benefit of the team
 

What We Look For in a Candidate

-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Telecom, Finance, or related field

-6+ years of experience in telephony or equivalent progressive Project Management in a technical environment.

-2+ years of experience in Network Inventory systems similar to Amdocs ARM, Ericsson Granite/Adaptive Inventory, or Blue Planet Inventory.   -PMI/PMP or equivalent Project Management certification

-Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project Management software.

-Experience with resource management including identification of gaps and recommendation of options to keep projects on time and within budget.

-Knowledge of business and technology work processes and the ability to use this knowledge when consulting across organizations.

-Excellent communications and presentation skills, including ability to summarize and concisely share key project information to all levels of the organization.

-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, set direction and solve problems in a fast paced environment.

-Outstanding and proven program/project management skills.

-Outstanding ability to develop a strategic and tactical plan from a concept.

-Outstanding ability to develop an integrated, cross organizational program/project plan.

-Strong ability to provide leadership/mentoring to other team members.

-Proven ability to influence others and to build trusting relationships with clients and peers.


 

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$82,969 - $110,625 in these states: AL  AR  AZ  FL  GA  IA  ID  IN  KS  KY  LA  ME  MO  MS  MT  ND  NE  NM  OH  OK  PA  SC  SD  TN  UT  VT  WI  WV  WY 
$87,117 - $116,156 in these states: CO  HI  MI  MN  NC  NH  NV  OR  RI 
$91,266 - $121,688 in these states: AK  CA  CT  DC  DE  IL  MA  MD  NJ  NY  TX  VA  WA
