About the Opportunity

Bilingual required English and Spanish. This role is onsite in Watsonville, and the working hours are Monday thru Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Must be available to work after 2:30 PM and on Saturdays when needed.

The Lab Technician I position will assist in specific duties to ensure the overall success of the plant tissue culture laboratory. Specific duties include media preparation, container and equipment cleaning and movement of materials with additional activity in the laminar flow hood as required.

 

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue culture media in compliance within established specifications.

• Clean lab, lab materials and lab equipment.

• Check lab contamination and communicate information in a timely manner. 

• Ensures the safe keeping of propriety varieties and confidential information.  

• Follows company policies and practices while representing Driscoll’s in an ethical and business - like manner in all interactions with employees, government agencies, growers, etc. 

• Performs other duties as assigned.

   

Candidate Profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Bilingual English and Spanish required.

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Range estimated for this role is: $18.00 to $20.70 USD.
