The Labeling Specialist ensures accurate, compliant product labeling across all facilities by aligning federal, state, and brand requirements. As the labeling subject matter expert, this role sets and enforces standards, manages labeling workflows and systems, and partners cross-functionally to streamline processes, maintain documentation, and reduce compliance risk.
What You Will Do
- Establish and enforce labeling standards, procedures, and governance across all facilities.
- Interpret and apply packaging regulations, advising leadership on compliance risks and required actions.
- Independently approve or reject label designs to ensure regulatory and brand compliance.
- Serve as the labeling subject matter expert for Marketing, Operations, and Compliance, providing guidance on legal requirements, process improvements, and business implications.
- Administer labeling systems, including user access, workflows, and approval structures.
- Manage third-party printing vendors, audit labeling processes, and recommend risk-mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
- Lead initiatives to improve labeling efficiency, reduce compliance risk, and expand workflow automation.
- Maintain and report on label approvals, compliance documentation, and system changes for leadership review.
What You Will Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required or relevant equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience: 5+ years in packaging, label compliance, or regulated operations. Demonstrated experience exercising discretion and independent judgement on compliance/brand related subjects.
- Knowledge: Experience in interpreting and applying packaging laws.
- Systems: Proficiency in label management systems, Loftware a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication, consultation, and influencing skills. Ability to provide expert advice and work across all teams and organizational levels.

Compensation: The expected annual base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
