You will be part of our GFO Credit Management and Accounts Receivable team.

We manage all the accounting activities from master data to reporting, we drive issue resolution and provide expertise in accounting matters. As the owners of credit management and accounts receivable processes, we strive to identify improvement areas and drive harmonization, we want to be a trusted business partner to our stakeholders.

We are now looking for a Senior Accountant, Credit Management and Collection.

Responsibilities:

• Customer open item management, controlling and collection related activities for Valmet entities globally
• Performing Accounts Receivable accounting, data validation and reporting
• Effectively supporting Sales, Business Finance and other Valmet stakeholders in all the aspects involving customer success: sales support for credit and risk management and collection.
• Managing related subledgers, reconciliations, interfaces, balance sheet specifications and ensuring accuracy of related ledger accounts 
• Continuous development of systems, processes, and way to operate in a global organization
• Identifying the requirements and gaps in solutions and effectively conducting change management. 

Requirements:

• Knowledge and previous working experience (+5) within the area of responsibility defined for the role
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and/or a recognized accounting qualification
• ERP and finance-related systems knowledge
• Self-driven and motivated to fulfill requirements and meet deadlines
• Ability to work well under pressure keeping up positive attitude
• Excellent team working and communication skills with ability to deliver complex messages in an effective way
• Understanding of business model and way of working in a global company
• Good understanding of E2E process form sales to cash, as well as of the process control points
• Fluent in written and spoken English, competence in other languages is an advantage

Additional information:

The position can be located in Jyväskylä, Tampere or Järvenpää.

Valmet is building a completely new, shared office building in the Tikkurila district of Vantaa for its employees currently working in Järvenpää and some of its employees currently working in Hakkila, Vantaa. We will move into the new offices in early 2025.
