The Role:

As the Principal Product Manager, Revenue Optimization for Yahoo Finance, you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing a roadmap that balances driving our ad revenue business goals with our user needs across a diverse set of ad solution pillars. You’ll be responsible for ensuring goals are met by helping teams prioritize, execute, and measure progress on revenue initiatives.  To be successful, you’ll need to influence other teams' roadmaps and be fluent in communicating from high level strategy to execution requirements across cross functional teams (including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and analytics). This role will report to the Director of Revenue Product.

  • Possess a mixture of quantitative chops and creative intuition– someone who loves digging into the data to drive insights combined with excellent product sense that support the ability to build solutions that both the business and the market needs

  • Love to collaborate and are comfortable working across a multitude of teams with different functions and roadmaps. You inspire and focus your teammates by using great listening skills, your influence, and crisp, effective communication

  • Are organized, and comfortable working with JIRA for managing project plans against timelines

  • You support your expertise with a keen ability to break down large, complex problems into well-defined, manageable problems, and an ability to use data to inform your judgment

  • Driven to succeed with a high comfort level with ambiguity and fluidity, and the ability to make decisions in a rapidly changing environment while achieving quality results

You Must Have:

  • 5+ years product management experience, driving user and revenue growth across desktop/mobile web & app through Ad Tech development  

  • 3+ years track record of executing revenue projects that show thoughtful prioritization and a balance between optimizing RPMs and user experience

  • Experience collaborating with demand/yield teams to drive eCPM growth

  • Must be based in California Bay Area (offices in Mountain View and SF) or New York Metro Area 

Nice to Have(s):

  • Familiarity with how advertisers are buying media and the operational workflows to traffic and report on advertising campaigns

  • Familiarity with contextual and behavioral advertising trends and how the current landscape is evolving around audience data and privacy compliance

  • Comfortable & proficient at working autonomously with analytics platforms is a huge plus 

  • A passion for and expertise in fintech and retail investing that will help define, shape and drive us towards a complete wealth-building experience that advertisers will seek to align with.

  • Familiarity operating withing Google Ad Manager
