Job Description

HII Mission Technologies, Warfare Systems Group, Integrated Systems, Air Dominance seeks an experienced, mid-level Program Manager to assume leadership of a subset of the Fighters/Bombers Programs directly providing Program Management, Systems Engineering, and Logistics products to Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Fighters and Advanced Aircraft Directorate (AFLCMC/WA) and Bombers Directorate (AFLCMC/WB) Program Office. Fighters/Bombers Programs deliver aircraft and aircraft systems requirements and capablity gap analysis studies and reports, and delivers research, development, test, evaluation, fielding, capability transfer, and system sustainment products to the Department of War Joint Services, specifically the USAF. The Program Manageer will be responsible for maintaining a highly skilled, capable, and agile workforce; delivery of quality products; identification of new work opportunities; customer satisfaction; and achieving company financial targets.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the profit and loss (P&L) of a complex program(s). Responsible for providing program management oversight requiring coordination of program requirements across planning stages with several subcontractors. Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Program may be based out of a single location utilizing established technologies requiring standard application to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Develops new business or expands services with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program.

Minimum Qualifications

6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.

  • Three (3) years of experience working in an Air Force Acquisitions Program Office
  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrated application of:
    • DoD and Air Force program management policies and procedures on an ACAT III or higher modification program on a major weapon system
