Department Overview
Department DescriptionVideo Solutions teams in R&D center in Kraków have been growing dynamically since 2019. Currently, we have more than 120 specialists on board working on solutions for fixed and mobile cameras, video analytics, video management systems as well as access control.
We bring advanced video and analytics capabilities to public safety and commercial customers including healthcare, airports, retail, critical infrastructure and public venues. No longer is video just reactive – looking back at what has taken place – but it also informs proactively, issuing alerts in real-time when a person, object or vehicle appears or a perimeter is crossed. This critical intelligence enables users to take the right action more quickly.
Job Description
Develop and advocate for operational best practices, standards and processes across all environments.
Work in a team environment to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
Ensuring that code, tools and configurations are stored in source control. Complete analysis, evaluations and design alternatives and to implement process improvements.
Collaborate with the teams to improve and to correct build errors using IaC based deployments.
Define, breakdown, organize, and track projects to completion.
Implement, maintain and improve shared infrastructure
Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, system management tools, and infrastructure.
Deploy and monitor modern applications on a variety of platforms, including AWS - Fargate, ECS, Docker, Lambda, S3 & EC2.
Work with development teams to ensure metrics, alarms, best practices, disaster recovery and backups are implemented.
Continuously identify opportunities to automate tasks and maintain operational tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues escalated by internal customers, external partners and critical systems, including implementing and deploying emergency hot fixes.
This position will require support outside of standard business hours to complete system upgrades and application deployments, as well as provide support for emergencies and outages.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
Be self-driven and meticulous (able to drive problems to a solution without being supervised).
Solid understanding of networks and VPNs.
Experience working in Agile teams and project teams.
Ability to quickly triage problems under pressure, determine root cause and drive resolution.
5+ years of experience in a systems administration role including experience with UNIX/LINUX administration.
In-depth experience operating a 24x7 production environment.
5+ years experience with Cloud Computing platforms (AWS preferred).
5+ years experience with infrastructure automation and container frameworks (Docker, Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins).
Familiarity with build and release automation, dependency management.
Practical knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, JavaScript, Python etc).
Practical knowledge of databases languages (MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB).
Desire to learn and continually improve self and others through knowledge sharing.
