What you'll do:

The Senior Commercial Loan Administrator 2 is responsible for processing and closing commercial loans in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies & procedures. This role involves close collaboration with the Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Account Officers, Credit Analysts and Underwriters, Internal and External Legal counsel, and internal Loan Operations team members, as well as Title and Escrow agents, to ensure the timely closing of loans within the Commercial Lending Portfolio. The Senior Loan Administrator 2 is responsible for ensuring that loans are properly documented and that both supporting and contractual documentation complies with state and federal laws and protects the interest of the Bank and its customers.

The Senior Loan Administrator 2 will take the lead proactively processing a diverse pipeline of Commercial loans. This role encompasses a variety of loan types, such as commercial lines of credit, real estate, syndication / participation, technology, and sponsor finance. The position is also responsible for managing loan closing activities for new Commercial loans, modifications, renewals and extensions.
  • Actively works on obtaining post-closing conditions to avoid delinquencies.
  • Collaborate with Team Lead to assist where necessary, including but not limited to training and mentoring less experienced Loan Administrators.
  • Independently and effectively manage their individual pipeline of diverse and complex loans assigned to them to ensure timely and accurate closings.
  • Review and understand loan terms and conditions of loan approvals.
  • Analyze transaction types and determine necessary due diligence items and legal documents required to ensure accurate closings and compliance with bank and regulatory requirements and procedures.
  • Initiate customer contact and coordinate receipt and review of outstanding due diligence items.
  • Direct internal Loan Support Group or outside counsel to prepare necessary loan documents.
  • Participate in document negotiations with borrower, legal counsel and lending personnel.
  • Identify any obstacles to closing and present viable alternatives and solutions.
  • Review title and work with Title Officer and/or legal counsel to resolve any outstanding title issues; prepare escrow instructions.
  • Facilitate loan closing and reconcile all fees and expenses at closing.
  • Work with necessary Loan Servicing teams to assist with customer inquiries.

What you'll need:

  • Required: High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6+ years of lending, loan support or processing experience with knowledge and training in all lending activities, processing and terminology.
  • Intermediate computer operational skills required; basic knowledge of banking systems preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of related state and federal loan regulations and Bank lending policies.  
  • Basic knowledge of branch operation procedures, Bank products and services. 
  • Advanced knowledge of lending regulations, including but not limited to Flood, KYC and AML risks, closing procedures, Title policies/endorsements, and insurance coverage types
  • Ability to work independently and confidently close all loans assigned with minimal oversight.
  • Preferred not required – working knowledge of iLien / Lien Solutions, FIS- IBS/ACBS core system.
  • Proficient knowledge of real estate loan documentation, complex business ownership hierarchies and entity types and collateral perfection.
  • Strong analytical skills, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively handle stressful situations and perform several tasks simultaneously with accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of lending regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
  • Proficient computer skills
