Work Schedule:

100% FTE. Day Shift. Monday – Friday; Hours range 7:00AM – 6:00PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking Pharmacy Technician Specialist to:

  • Experience a well-rounded view of pharmacy services, including mail services, specialty pharmacy, medication histories, and prior authorizations.
  • Help support our pharmacy services across the entire Madison area.
  • Be a strong team player, highly detail-oriented, and a critical thinker who easily identifies how to prioritize work and manage time within a busy work environment.

  Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program Preferred
  Work Experience
  • 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school. Required
  Licenses & Certifications
  • Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration Upon Hire Required
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician Preferred

UW Health Pharmacy Services Building – a non-clinical location in Middleton that houses many Pharmacy professionals. These employees perform various services and duties, including pharmacy administration, pharmacy primary care services, medication prior authorization, sterile and non-sterile compounding, unit dose packaging, and specialty/mail service program.
