Role Overview:
At New York Life, Lead Product Managers play a pivotal role in advancing our GuideMe platform — a digital solution that helps financial professionals deliver high-trust, client-centered planning experiences. Your work will contribute to platform adoption, sales enablement, and the long-term retention of both clients and the professionals who serve them. As a Lead Product Manager, you will shape and help execute major initiatives that impact thousands of financial professionals nationwide. You’ll align platform vision with delivery, partnering across technology, design, and business to ensure GuideMe continues to meet evolving field and client needs. You will collaborate with UX, technology, training, and value stream teams to deliver new features that drive advisor adoption and deepen client engagement. This role reports to a Product Lead (Senior Director) and works closely with cross-functional delivery teams and strategic business partners.

What You'll Do:
• Shape and prioritize the GuideMe platform roadmap with cross-functional partners, aligning vision to evolving advisor, client, and business needs.
• Define product goals and success metrics; drive initiatives that deliver measurable field and business value.
• Collaborate with tech, UX, and business teams to deliver scalable, intuitive solutions grounded in stakeholder feedback and compliance needs.
• Apply structured feedback loops to continuously refine the platform based on agent, advisor, and client insights.
• Balance user needs, platform goals, and constraints; advocate for practical, high-impact solutions.
• Partner with data, product, and engineering teams to enable modular, connected experiences across NYL’s advisor and client-facing systems.
• Support release planning, training, and rollout communications in collaboration with Field Development and stakeholders.
• Stay aware of emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML) and evaluate practical applications that enhance advisor and client outcomes.
• Mentor junior PMs and foster a culture of team growth.

What You'll Bring:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–8 years of progressive product management experience, ideally in digital tools, fintech, or startup environments.
• Familiarity with financial services, insurance, or advisor-facing platforms is a plus.
• Experience partnering with engineering teams on web applications (e.g., React, Java) and integrations with systems like Salesforce.com.
• Strong iterative thinker and creative problem-solver with a focus on continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.
• Skilled at designing within enterprise constraints — including compliance, data, scalability, and legacy systems — and navigating complex, interconnected architectures.
• Platform mindset: able to shape modular capabilities that support connected advisor-client experiences.
• Clear communicator across roles and levels; balances user value with business and stakeholder priorities.
• Leads through collaboration and influence; supports peer development and fosters shared accountability.
