If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you!</p><p></p><p>We are seeking a motivated Associate Scientist to take on the role of Global Chemical manager in Europe. In the P&amp;G Global Product Stewardship organization, you will work within the Global Chemical Management Team accountable for providing stewardship assessment and guidance supporting articles and cosmetic products, in compliance with chemical control laws such as the EU REACH or CLP regulations. You will have the opportunity to work on iconic brands such as Gillette enabling compliant innovation, as well as ensuring these brands can continue to market, reaching billions of consumers each year.  Our work processes have a high focus on Digital ‘end-to-end’ Innovation, to support key dataflows and require advanced knowledge of our supply chains.</p><p></p><p>The role while based in Belgium is of a global nature where you will partner with multi-functional global R&amp;D teams.</p><p></p><p><b>YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO P&amp;G’S SUCCESS:</b></p><ul><li><p>Manage and streamline work processes to confirm P&amp;G supply chains are compliant with all relevant chemical control laws.</p></li><li><p>Develop strategy and deploy compliance programs for emerging CCL e.g. UK and Turkey. This will involve interaction with suppliers.</p></li><li><p>Partner with R&amp;D to design safe and sustainable products for iconic brands such as Gillette used by billions across the globe.</p></li><li><p>Build deep business process expertise and subject matter understanding of the external landscape related to the emerging and evolving global chemical control laws. Translate the regulatory requirements per country into work processes to enhance the GPS service.</p></li><li><p>Assume responsibility for the global substance classification review process for P&amp;G ingredients, including surfactants, biocidal, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical actives, perfume and flavour substances.</p></li><li><p>Partner with IT to enable systematic solutions and automation where possible.</p></li><li><p>Communicate with customers globally when issues arise, with aim to resolve quickly and systemically in partnership with the multifunctional teams e.g. IT, R&amp;D, Product supply.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Job Qualifications</b></p><p><b>YOU ARE THE RIGHT FIT IF YOU ARE/HAVE: </b></p><ul><li>MSc in Life Sciences, Chemistry or equivalent;</li><li>Fluent in English;</li><li>Ability to interpret data from different scientific disciplines (e.g., human &amp; environmental safety, chemistry, biology) and from technical functions (e.g., Regulatory, Safety, Process Design, Products Research, Product Supply) to develop strategies for new initiatives and current business;</li><li>Proven record for leveraging technical mastery. You should be capable to build technical mastery in global regulatory requirements;</li><li>Strong levels of personal ownership, a high degree of initiative as well as a positive attitude;</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
