Operations Support Specialist

The Instrument Support Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Surgical OEM and Operations team by providing technical, operational, and customer service support. This position is part of the Operations team and is responsible for analyzing customer requests, cross-referencing product data, managing ERP transactions, and collaborating across departments to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of surgical instruments. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, possess a high degree of both written and verbal communication skills, be process-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment interacting with customers and suppliers.


Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a strategic partner for customers, providing exceptional customer service for internal and external customers.
• Accurately process and manage customer data within the ERP system Provide technical product support, including cross-referencing part numbers and reviewing product drawings and blueprints.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Purchasing, Sales) and global stakeholders (USA, Germany) to support contract reviews and customer updates.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions, training materials, and internal documentation.
• Support continuous improvement efforts through process and design enhancements, cost-saving initiatives, and quality control.
• Maintain accurate ERP system data, including item views, pricing, order history, and inventory levels.
• Monitor order status and proactively address risks that may impact on-time delivery.
• Manage customer access to the Avalign web portal and support onboarding of new customer accounts.
• Support upper management with reporting metrics and technical insights during internal and external meetings.
• Contribute to cross-functional training efforts and be open to learning new skills in related departments (e.g., Quality, Finance, Customer Service).


Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, technical drawings, and quality systems.
• Willingness to learn new software/ERP packages
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.


Physical Requirements:
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

• This position operates in a professional, smoke-free facility.
