Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Program Manager 1 to become part of the Program Management team a Warner Robins, GA location. This position will be responsible for all phases of the ALQ-161 Hardware Program from inception through completion. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:

Building a collaborative relationship between the program office and functional areas. Program performance includes: P&L, schedule performance, customer relationships, and forecasting.

What You'll Get to Do:

As a Systems and Software Solution ALQ-161 Hardware Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing all phases of the life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout). The ALQ-161 Hardware Program portfolio comprises repairs, spares, production and DMS activities.

Job Responsibilities

•     Responsible for the cost, schedule, technical performance and customer satisfaction of the ALQ-161 Hardware Programs.

•     Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer.

•     Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets a financial terms/conditions of the ALQ-161 Hardware contracts.

•     Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.

•     Accountable for programmatic and financial commitments (Awards, Sales, Profit and Cash).

•     Leads Programmatic and Financials Risk and Opportunities Management to achieve Financial Targets.

•     Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

•     Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

•     Manages, monitors and reports "on time delivery" metrics and trends against program contractual requirements and commitments.

•     Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

•     Partner with functional leadership to deploy qualified resources and improve processes, tools and training to meet customer demands. Evaluate and implement program and product best practices.

•     Managing special projects focused on improving operational effectiveness.

•     Serve as a subject matter expert amongst our customer community soliciting feedback, deriving requirements, providing input and implementing lessons learned.

•     Prepares, develops and coordinates the integration plans and integrated schedules to meet all contract objectives.

Basic Qualifications

•   Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM or Finance/Accounting discipline with 5 years related experience

•   Will consider 9 years of related experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.

•   Business Acumen (Experience in running P&L business).

•   Experience with Repairs, Spares, OMS resolution, product modification and Production.
