Overview
Lead and support product development efforts for the Non-Sparkling Category Portfolio, including new idea generation, prototype development, product optimization, and production start-up. In addition, translate strategic market objectives into new products, optimize designs per consumer response, and select winning ideas for commercialization.
Responsibilities
Job Accountabilities:
- Lead Non-Sparkling Category Development Enhancers projects.
- Plan, conduct, and document product development lab work, including development of bench top prototypes, implementation and maintenance of stability testing, and scale-ups for commercialization
- Formulate products by accurately preparing laboratory powders, beverages, and concentrates and submitting samples for analytical and sensory evaluation. Create beverage documents; ensure products are safe, stable, and legal
- Possess technical foundation of ingredient functionality and potential interactions
- Ability to conduct experiments, analyze data, and make recommendations to address technical challenges
- Good communication skills both verbal and written, including timely and accurate documentation of work in system, actively communicate status of research
- Demonstrates ability to understand application of consumer research and experimental design to project objectives
- Collaborate with cross functional team to reach project objectives

Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $80,700 - $135,100.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 5% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
Required:
- B.S. in Food Science or a related discipline is required
- 2 year experience – Research and/or Industry. Equivalent education and work experience
- This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
Desired:
- Powdered Beverages and/or Powdered Protein experience is required.
- Technician and/or Summer Intern experience(s) at a consumer goods company
Other Job Requirements:
- This is a laboratory-based position. Estimated 70+% in lab.
- This position will require flexibility in working hours to set-up and complete focus groups, product expos, pilot plant scale–ups or plant trials that may extend past typical working hours
- Field Travel will be required (domestic and/or international). Estimated 10%
