About the role

Job Description Summary

The Lead Field Services Specialist – Overwatch will be the responsible subject matter expert "SME" of the Overwatch IT and Communications focused on wireless communications, wireless operations, procurement, procedure management, IT infrastructure, and outage execution at both boiling water reactors and pressurized water reactors. This role will provide successful execution of complex projects involving BWR 2-6 In Service Inspection (ISI), including in-vessel visual technology tooling and services along with core verification and reactor service maintenance activities.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct oversight to Overwatch Tooling Refurbishments.
  • Seek new technologies to upgrade or replace the aging fleet of tools.
  • Support Capital Investment strategy for fleet expansion in both BWR and PWR markets.
  • Continue to own Continuous Improvement of Overwatch processes.
  • Support the process of tooling conceptual design, field delivery and beyond.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to craft labor in support of a power equipment outage
  • Single point of contact for Outage execution
  • Work with field services training and staffing team to build out field execution teams, the SME will be the lead instructor for training courses.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrated with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline from an accredited college/university OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in BWR maintenance management or inspection services
    • Minimum 3 years of leadership of nuclear industry field teams working at customer sites as well as leading design engineering teams.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered.
    • This position requires frequent travel (70% of the time or more). Travel to the USA and international plant sites is required on a frequent basis
    • Must be willing to work in radiation-controlled areas and radioactively contaminated areas

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Experience in BWRVIP, ASME and ISI programs implemented by nuclear plants.
    • Knowledge of GEH Nuclear Energy products, processes, customers, markets, and competition.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
    • Strong strategic development and execution skills.
    • Strong technical knowledge and experience in working with in the Inspection Services field.
    • Strong customer focus mind-set and commercial knowledge.
    • Experience and knowledge around BWR reactor internals and GEH In Vessel Visual tooling.
    • Familiar with GEH B03, EC and Inventory processes
    • Proven record in driving process improvement
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

    The base pay range for this position is $78,800-105,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 7/18/2025.

     

    The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
