Our department provides expert, family‑centered care for children with allergy, asthma, and immunologic conditions in a pediatric‑focused environment.
Position Highlights
- Provide outpatient Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology care for children
- Evaluate and manage a broad range of pediatric allergy and immunologic diagnoses
- Oversee oral food and drug challenges in the outpatient clinic setting
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and safety planning
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, asthma care coordinators, social workers, and environmental health specialists
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses II (APRN-II) provides proficient, comprehensive, evidence-based advanced practice nursing to address the physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of patients and families within the framework of the collaborative practice agreement. An APRN II obtains a comprehensive health history; performs physical examination; formulates a plan of care and treatment; prescribes/performs diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and procedures; and participates in patient and family education. Each APRN-II demonstrates professional leadership and participates in evidenced-based practice, quality improvement, and/or research activities, and organizational development.

- Clinical Practice: proficiently provides comprehensive, evidence-based advanced practice nursing care based on the physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of patients and families within the framework of the collaborative practice agreement. - Professional Leadership: advances the practice of nursing by inspiring others to positively impact the care of children and families in our community. - Evidenced-based Practice/QI/Research Inquiry: improves patient/family outcomes by utilizing evidence to translate science to practice. - Organizational Development: influences organizational policy in order to achieve and sustain practice improvements and strategic initiatives.Qualifications
- Master's Degree and 1-2 years experience 1-2 years pediatric APRN experience with Masters. Exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis within preferred specialty. or
- Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) - preferred and 1-2 years experience 1 year pediatric APRN experience. Exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis within preferred specialty.
- Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
- Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
- RN Compact license for all
