About the opportunity 

 

The Director, Recruitment Operations will lead a high performing recruitment function, driving a valued partnership model to support staff recruitment across the University. The Recruitment Operations function has three key pillars: Senior Talent Acquisition; Faculties and Schools; and Central Portfolios.  Additionally, Redeployment, Immigration and Global Mobility also sit within the function. 

Reporting to the newly appointed Chief Human Resources Officer and as a key member of the HR leadership team, the Director will lead a team of approximately 70 and champion a culture of exceptional service delivery and operational excellence. 

The Director will lead the function through its next stage of evolution, to optimise policies and processes, establish and coordinate governance and control frameworks, identify efficiencies and automation opportunities to build high levels of stakeholder engagement and collaboration. 

 

About you 

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record in leading complex recruitment functions and talent acquisition on a large scale.  With outstanding people leadership skills and the ability to engage widely with key stakeholders, the Director, Recruitment Operations will bring a strategic approach and exemplary communication skills. 

A values-based leadership style and the ability to nurture a motivated, outcome-driven team will be essential, as will the ability to leverage insights and innovation to elevate service delivery and build customer engagement. 

 

Term and remuneration 

 

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.  The position will be offered on a full-time, fixed term contract for five years.
