Sheladia Associates, Inc. (Sheladia) is currently seeking an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, and very organized multitasker to serve as Business Development Associate in our Rockville, MD office.

The Business Development Associate is a highly impactful member of the business development (BD) team. They support BD efforts through administrative functions that are imperative to the BD process. This is an intermediate level position.

The Job Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assist Business Development team in preparation and submissions of proposals (RFP) and Expressions of Interest (EOI) documents, including but not limited to: formatting; editing; drafting documents; preparing Excel spreadsheets and other tasks as required.
• Assist with maintaining and updating the BD databases and spreadsheet records on an ongoing basis.
• Assist with summarizing data for standardized reports and proposals such as summary sheets and task trackers of the RFPs.
• Assist with knowledge management to assure all relevant information is readily available.
• Conduct research and analyses related to markets, competitors and potential donors.
• Assist with the formatting of CVs and templates for RFPs and EOIs.
• Other administrative duties as required and assigned.

This position reports to the Business Development Lead. This is a full-time, fully on-site position. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Excellent research skills.
• Ability to adapt to new and/or unplanned situations to meet the dynamic needs of the company.
• Prior experience with USAID and/or other major bi-lateral donors, multi-lateral development banks strongly preferred.
• Experience with business development in the international sector preferred but not required.

Required Experience

• BD/Proposal development: Minimum of two (2) years

Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
