Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will act as the team lead in designing and developing advanced solutions for information technology (IT) infrastructure environments, including coding, testing, and certifying technology platforms, software, and applications, as well as coach and mentor team members.

The Cloud Infrastructure - Technology Engineering - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

Fannie Mae seeks Technology Engineering – Lead Associate – Reston, VA

Develop solutions for application design and IT infrastructure components. Drive database and data analytics related Cloud solutioning for Amazon Web Services (AWS) products.
Work towards customer adoption of AWS and drive process and operational automation, and integrate AWS native database services with monitoring ecosystem.
Evaluate the end-to-end performance of IT platforms and account for interrelated functionality and processes when developing designs.
Establish and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
Monitor performance and capacity metrics for technology solutions and play lead to the team in addressing identified issues.
Coach and mentor less experienced team members.
Hybrid work possible in this position.

Qualifications

Req’d: 
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering plus five years of progressive experience in database administration. Experience must include 4 years working with AWS Relational Database Services (including Aurora, Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle), JIRA, Python, SharePoint, UNIX, and JSON. Excellent communication (oral and written) skills are also required.
