Job Description:
A System Architect assists senior engineers in designing, analyzing, and optimizing IT infrastructure, software systems, or hardware, typically focusing on scalability, reliability, and security. Responsibilities include creating technical documentation, developing, prototyping, testing, and supporting cloud or hardware architecture projects.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Documentation: Assist in defining system requirements, creating architecture diagrams, and documenting processes.
- Technical Support & Analysis: Analyze performance data, diagnose system issues, and perform troubleshooting, including hardware, software, or network components.
- Prototyping & Development: Develop scripts, tools, and simulations (e.g., Python, MATLAB) to test and validate system performance.
- Infrastructure Support: Support cloud platform initiatives (AWS/Azure/GCP) or on-site hardware installations.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align technical specifications with business goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of system architecture, data structures, and networking principles.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages such as Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
- Tools: Familiarity with Linux, containers (Docker), or infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Common Experience Opportunities
- Cloud/Software: Working with APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hardware/Firmware: Developing test benches, simulation tools, and firmware.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required Currently enrolled toward a degree
Strong PC skills (Windows, MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel) intermediate required

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
