The Senior Contracts Analyst is responsible for leading the customer contracts process for key customers to optimize our top and bottom line in partnership with our sales team. The position covers the contract lifecycle for all interventional urology contracts, including capital equipment agreements, and requires someone who can perform effectively in environments with frequent workload changes and competing demands. In this highly visible role, you will support the national accounts and sales teams, advising and leading customer negotiations, and analyzing overall contract and pricing performance. You will work in a talented and dynamic team environment with frequent exposure to our Interventional Urology leadership team. 

 

 

Major Areas of Accountability

 

  • In partnership with the Sales team, drive negotiations with key Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO’s), Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN’s), and local customers while upholding critical business initiatives. This includes but is not limited to RFP, RFI, RFQ, bids, and contract requests
  • Manage the contract strategy for assigned products, formulate process-flows for contract maintenance and compliance, and articulate steps to achieve the negotiation and business objectives
  • Analyze and influence contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance and mitigate corporate risk, while acquiring and documenting appropriate stakeholder approvals
  • Lead the negotiation of customer contracts on business terms and conditions when requested by the sales team
  • Build relationships and communicate directly with customers to effectively resolve open items
  • Serve as point of contact for Coloplast internal clients on contract negotiation and other contractual matters, including status of contracts in process and tracking of contracts in the Contracts Database
  • Prepare risk assessments and present to key stakeholders and leadership to gain approvals
  • Maintain strong relationships with key internal clients, including Legal, Finance, Marketing, Regulatory, and Global Operations to facilitate understanding, proactively influence timely decision-making, and streamline execution of pricing and contracts initiatives
  • Evaluate customer and contract performance and recommend action steps to drive improvement
  • Evaluate effectiveness of pricing strategies and recommend changes to the management team
  • Ensure corporate requirements are met while implementing contracts: notifications, documentation, price file uploads, record management, database maintenance, systems-related updates, and other follow up items as needed
  • Design or improve upon processes & tools to help the contracts team facilitate accurate workflow management, contract price loading, KPI monitoring, data management, and record retention
  • Recommend actions for critical business issues through ad-hoc analyses and insights
  • Conform with Coloplast Code of Conduct and all local Compliance Standards

Essential Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area is required 
  • 6+ of experience working with contracts, negotiations or legal department
  • Knowledge of contract law
  • Knowledge of healthcare and medical device compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of the capital equipment contracting process
  • Demonstrated ability to lead difficult negotiations
  • Ability to execute analyses, develop and implement models and reports, and present to executive management and non-finance audiences across functional areas
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Wor
