About the Role 

Plus Power recruits outstanding energy industry professionals who are driven to develop, build and operate assets safely and reliably to decarbonize the power markets while growing their careers. In order for the global energy system to make the transition from a carbon-based grid, to a renewable energy grid, large scale energy storage must be introduced into the electricity system to balance intra-hour supply and demand.  Energy storage is the enabler of high penetration variable renewable generation like solar and wind. 

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to help provide our stunningly talented team with benefits, programs and learning opportunities foundational to an excellent employee experience.  This role also helps ensure Plus Power continues to evolve its People function with best practices in support of our vision, mission, values, strategy and compliance requirements.

  

Responsibilities 

  • Oversee and complete benefits administration activities to include processing benefit transactions, supporting open enrollment, reconciling invoices, and responding to employee questions
  • Administer leaves of absence in accordance with all legal requirements and company policies
  • Support compensation administration including pay structures, market analysis, and related programs and processes
  • Develop job descriptions and conduct job evaluations
  • Support talent management administration to include performance reviews and career development planning
  • Oversee administration of employee recognition programs and processes
  • Support immigration matters by interfacing with outside counsel, hiring managers and employees
  • Support policy development and maintenance to include annual revisions of the Employee Handbook, policy promulgation on the company Share Point site, and tracking compliance with any required acknowledgements
  • Serve as compliance lead for Human Resources, to include generating compliance reports such as the EEO-1 report, San Francisco HCSO reporting, California Pay Data reporting, etc.
  • Support human capital analytics reporting and ad hoc reporting requests
  • Assist with strategic workforce planning
  • Support employee relocations
  • Cross-train and be prepared to support other duties with the team
  • Complete special projects

 

Skills & Qualifications  

  • Minimum BA/BS in business or related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of HR-related work experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR-related legal requirements, including leaves of absence and benefits administration
  • Prior experience administering benefits programs
  • Prior experience in compensation and job description administration
  • Prior experience generating EEO-1 reports and other completing other compliance-related activities
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Adept at gathering and analyzing information
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to uphold standards of complete discretion and confidentiality and exercise good judgment on day-to-day decisions
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word,
