Job Description

We are currently looking for a Mid/Senior Java Software Developer to work within our team.

As a Mid/Senior Java Software Developer in the Engineering Technology Cross-Domain department you will develop and deliver, in a hybrid working model, web-based software applications and platforms that drive the digitalization in engineering. In your role you will:

• Develop web-based (full-stack) software that is used by our hardware or mechanical engineers for designing products
• Design, develop, test, document, deploy and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable software while ensuring performance and quality standards
• Analyze, debug and solve defects of existing functionalities
• Participate actively in code reviews
• Work in an agile environment while collaborating closely with stakeholders
• Guide and mentor less experienced team members as well as contribute to technical on-boarding of new joiners

Qualifications

Bachelor and/or Master  degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or comparable

At least 2 years (Mid) / 5 years (Senior) hands on software development experience with Java 8+ and Spring Framework (e.g. Boot, Rest, JPA, Security, Cloud)

Hands on experience with:

• Web Services & REST APIs
• Testing frameworks e.g. JUnit, Mockito
• Relational databases

Good know-how of:

• Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment and DevOps concepts
• Virtualization technologies e.g. Docker

Team player, proactive, adaptable, self-organized and fast learner

Fluent in English both verbal and written

Nice to have:

• Experience with microservice architectures
• Flexibility to work with Frontend development frameworks (Angular)

• Experience with monitoring tools, message brokering systems e.g. Rabbit MQ or code quality tools e.g. SonarQube is considered a plus
