Job Title: Senior Pump Mechanic
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Pump Mechanic to join our team in a leadership role. This position involves maintaining and repairing rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and other critical industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of hands-on experience, exceptional mechanical aptitude, proven leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of rotating equipment, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, providing expert solutions and recommendations.
- Conduct precision alignment of equipment using advanced tools and techniques.
- Mentor and train junior mechanics, fostering knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to meet client specifications and deadlines.
- Take a leadership role in building out a new production shop, including setup of machinery, equipment calibration, and workflow design.
- Use technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform accurate maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and promote a clean, organized work environment.
- Document work performed, creating detailed reports on findings, repairs, and recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and best practices for rotating equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in rotating equipment maintenance and repair.
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical components, including pumps, compressors, and turbines.
- Proficiency in precision alignment techniques (e.g., laser alignment) and vibration analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and team development.
- Experience with setting up and optimizing new production or machine shop environments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with industrial tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including blueprints and manuals.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in mechanics or a related field are preferred.
