Summary The 119 Chief Inspector / Director of Quality Control, Regulatory Compliance & Records holds the position of Chief Inspector in accordance with [14 CFR 119.65(a)(5)] and shall possess the qualifications per [14 CFR 119.67(d)]. The 119 Chief Inspector / Director of Quality Control, Regulatory Compliance & Records is responsible to the Senior Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering (VP M&E) for developing, improving, and maintaining an organization which ensures maintenance is performed to the highest possible degree of quality using the most efficient methods of inspection and engineering. They ensure maintenance is properly accomplished regardless of scheduling, potential loss of revenue due to mission cancellation/delay, and/or competitive image or other pressures. They ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives and Regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration. They ensure both financial and necessary human resources are available to accomplish the mission and ensure compliance. In their absence, a designee, as appointed by the 119 Chief Inspector / Director of Quality Control, Regulatory Compliance & Records, performs these duties. By virtue of the required qualifications for this position, the 119 Chief Inspector / Director of Quality Control, Regulatory Compliance & Records holds Airworthiness Release Authority (ARA) and Required Inspection Items (RII) authorization and is not subject to recurrent training requirements for those authorizations. The 119 Chief Inspector / Director of Quality Control, Regulatory Compliance & Records has overall authority and responsibility over RII functions as well as other maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alteration functions including AD compliance. Countermand authority: only the SVP M&E may countermand an RII decision of the 119 Chief Inspector. The 119 Chief Inspector / Director of Quality Control, Regulatory Compliance & Records is responsible for building a cohesive, highly motivated Team that is mission-oriented, disciplined in their approach, effective under pressure, and committed to safety and compliance. They review projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports. They continuously lead the efforts of cultivating a strong culture of safety across the organization.

Minimum RequirementsA combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.Education: High School Diploma/GEDEducation Details: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Aviation Management, Public or Government Affairs, or related field preferred.
Certification: YesCertification Details: A&P certified Aviation Maintenance Technician.
Years of Experience:- Minimum ten (10) years of significant maintenance and engineering management experience in a Title 14 CFR, Part 121 operation with at least one (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity maintaining the same category and class of aircraft that Allegiant operates.- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Maintenance Inspector as per 14 CFR 119.67.

Preferred Requirements• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Aviation Management, Public or Government Affairs, or a related field.• Broad Airline industry experience.• Experience effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management or other outside business partners/influencers/providers.
