Zayo is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive and motivated Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Network Automation team. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software. You will collaborate with developers and stakeholders to help create and enforce standards and automate or improve processes wherever possible, while ensuring we are delivering a stable, tested product.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and define testing requirements in collaboration with product owners and the development team.

• Lead the creation of enterprise-level testing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, PyTest, CI/CD Pipelines, etc.

• Develop and oversee frameworks for scalable and reusable automated testing.

• Mentor team members in best practices for writing and maintaining automation scripts.

• Evaluate and introduce advanced tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency.

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Thoroughly document test design and methodology.

• Conduct functional, unit, integration, performance and regression testing.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Optimize CI/CD workflows to reduce test cycle times and enhance reliability.

• In the process of testing, identify and create Jira stories for tracking and remediation.

• Perform audits of existing code to assure compliance and best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, SRE) to ensure security and optimal application performance.

• Act as a subject matter expert in testing and quality assurance, advising leadership on technical decisions.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

• Lead discussions on quality metrics and testing coverage during sprint reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience.)

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in software quality assurance, with experience in a variety of languages such as Python, Javascript, React, and Node.js.

• Telecom or networking experience are a plus.

• Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, Terraform.)

• Experience creating and executing automated software testing. 

• Familiarity with API testing, using Postman or similar tools.

• Strong abilities on the Linux command line, working with various flavors of Linux and Docker/Kubernetes.

• Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and experience using a variety of remote collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence, Google Suite, Zoom, etc.

• Experience using Git for code management, review and deployment.

• A passion for tackling complex problems and combining technical and process-based solutions.

• Certifications or additional training are a plus.

Base Salary Range: $98,500 - $150,600 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
