Summary:
The Temporary WAMU Operations Coordinator supports the Human Resources and Finance functions. These two functions regularly interact, and this role provides the connective thread between these functions. The position will assist, and coordinate workflows related to revenue accounting, accounts receivable systems, internal revenue controls, expense reimbursements and other administrative duties for WAMU employees. The Coordinator will also support and administer WAMU’s Human Resources programs to include, executing Workday processes, drafting communications, and collaborating closely with AU-HR to ensure employee questions are answered with a customer-service mindset. The coordinator will be supervised by the CHRO and the Managing Director, Finance and Administration.
Essential Functions:
1.) Finance
Accounts Receivable and Revenue Postings: Handles a wide variety of support duties to enhance the effectiveness of the office. Assists with corporate underwriting receivables processes, including working with internal software systems. Assists with grants and restricted giving receivables and income postings, check deposits and credit card processing.
Accounts Payable and Expenditures: Assists with vendor payables process, including vendor on boarding, invoice review and approval, travel and expense reimbursements, and related systems. Assists with WAMU community compliance with AU’s corporate credit card platform, including new cardholder onboarding and monthly expense reviews. Works with the Assistant Director as necessary to remediate non-compliance issues.
Financial Reports and Analysis: Assists in the production of financial reports, revenue forecasts and related analyses for use in Station budget planning and business analysis. Supports monthly budget to actual reporting by serving as a secondary contact for expense budget questions and attends monthly meetings for WAMU expense budget managers as required.
2.) HR Duties
Human Resources – Customer Service: Serves as a point of contact for employees by providing accurate and timely responses to routine questions regarding pay, benefits, and other HR related issues. In collaboration with the HR Generalist and CHRO, coordinates recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes through initiating and tracking completion of Workday tasks and internal SOPs that support operational excellence..
Human Resources – Talent Program Support: Under guidance of CHRO, drafts employee communications for talent programs and distributes to identified audiences. Supports HR programs and special projects that enhance employee engagement and culture. Ensures internal HR drives are maintained and organized. Maintains spreadsheets and systems for various HR metrics and reports. Other duties as assigned.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-Time.
40 hours per week.
This is a temporary full-time position for one year.
Salary Range:
$26.50 - $36.50 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Less than 1 year of relevant experience in supporting business operations, preferably in a non-profit environment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalen
