Description
OverviewThe Service Delivery team provides technology support for over 12,000 devices across the Library. The team’s main responsibilities are installing and maintaining end-user technology, asset management of computer & peripheral technology, client engagement, and working with other IT teams to solve technology issues. Temporary for 1 year.
Responsibilities
Under supervision of the Manager, Service Delivery:
- Provides logistics from our LSC workspace, maintaining inventory, managing the physical storage space and other related duties
- Performs prepping of NYPL equipment for client use, including imaging of PC/Laptop hardware, unboxing and shipment of goods
- Monitor, maintain and accurately document assigned service tickets and computer equipment inventory via NYPL Technology’s ticket management system
- Escalate issues when appropriate to IT management
- Occasionally perform installation or replacement of network equipment under the supervision of Technology Infrastructure staff
- Performs related duties as required
Required Education, Experience & Skills
Required Education & Experience- Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems
- 1-3 years of experience working with technology (hardware or software)
- Proven ability to collaborate with teams
- Personable, customer service oriented
- Hands-on experience with computing technologies either software (coding, administration) or hardware (break/fx, installation, troubleshooting)
- Strong oral, written, and customer service skills
- Successfully demonstrated skills in at least two of the following: MS Office Suite 2010 and above, Apple iOS X and above, Windows 7 and above
